“The brain is phenomenally plastic. We construct ourselves through behavior. As Coyle observes, it's not who you are, it's what you do.” —-David Brooks, New York Times
I just finished the audiobook copy of The Talent Code and really enjoyed it!!! I’ve dinked around at playing a musical instrument for the last 20 years. As I approach the age of 60, I want to devote more time to practice. I’m having difficulty getting the hang of “deep practice” as it relates to musical practice. Of course, I just finished the book a week ago, so maybe haven’t given it sufficient time.
Any tips to hit deep practice, at my age, on a musical instrument?
Thanks for a very enlightening book. I’ll be buying a copy for my adult children who have infants at home.
